On June 17, 2025, the Taalim-Forum Public Foundation conducted the second pilot training “ReAction: Developing Strategies to Counter Cyberbullying Among Youth” for two target groups — lecturers and students of the Bishkek Music and Pedagogical Institute named after T. Ermatov.
The event was opened with welcoming remarks by the Rector of BMPI, Professor Ulanbek Mambetakunov. He noted that the institute, founded in 1966, carefully preserves its educational traditions while integrating innovative approaches in the training of future educators in Kyrgyzstan. The Rector expressed his gratitude to the Taalim-Forum team for their important contribution to raising digital literacy and drawing attention to the pressing issues of cyberbullying and cyberhate among young people.
The training gathered 25 participants. Attendees actively engaged in discussions, shared experiences, and explored various digital tools introduced by the trainers, including Mentimeter, Padlet, and Kahoot.
The training modules were designed to build skills in identifying cyber threats, strengthening digital safety, and developing response strategies within educational environments. The methodology, focused on interactive learning and practical application, was highly appreciated by both the faculty and students.
The training was held as part of the international DAAD project “Together Against Hate on the Internet: Prevention and Intervention Strategies for Young People in Germany, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova and Ukraine” which aims to prevent cyberhate among adolescents.
